Update on 50 Year Reunion - January 22, 2026

Plans for the Miami Trace 50 Year reunion are well underway. The reunion will take place on September 26. It will held at the Rusty Keg Tavern on the east side of WCH. While this is a public facility, the reunion will be held in their private room.

Pam Holbert Kingery, my wife, Kathy, and I met at the Rusty Keg prior to the game to discuss the reunion.

The plans are to have a tour of the new high school prior to the reunion. In the meantime, I posted photos that I took at the Miami Trace versus Circleville game, held on January 3. Unfortunately, MT lost 57-53.

To get more information about the reunion, this web site and the MT Facebook page will be updated as plans get finalized.

Sadly, there have been numerous class-mates who have passed away. To see the list and to read the obituaries for many, sign-in first and then click on In Memory Of.

The Classmate List is a way to share a few interesting things about your family and life. It also requires sign-in. Postings from 2016 are still available to read.

It is unnecessary to sign-up for a new reunion account. Please click on Forget Password? to acquire a new password..

Please email Pam or me (Scott Gerber) with any questions. Questions can also be directed to Feedback.

October 29, 2016: Many thanks to those who made the 40th reunion a success. The group photo is now online under "Pictures". Please sign-in to view.

October 5, 2016: There has been a change with the location. The reunion has moved from the Fayette County Airport to Jeffersonville Crossing. A guest-related problem occurred at the airport on October 1, and that required a number of changes for future facility renters which would have substantially increased our costs and eliminated alcohol from being served. Special thanks to Pam (Holbert) Kingery, John Schlichter, Gene Bradshaw, and Troi (Benjamin) Penwell for their help in resolving this issue and for finding a new location. Also thanks to Phil Swigert for the "heads-up" on the problem. We are still in good shape with the costs.

The details are:

Several of us have been meeting to work out the details and to contact classmates. The group includes: Phil Swigert, Jeff Robinette, Dan Michaels, Troi (Benjamin) Penwell, Debbie (Cremeans) Schlichter, Tammy (Johnson) Dick, Brenda (Steinhauser) Campbell, Gene Bradshaw, and Elaine Pucket. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of us. Mina (Knisley) Jones will be providing the tour of the Miami Trace Middle School.

July 5, 2016: The 40th reunion is set for October 29 at the Fayette Country Airport. Please sign-up for the web site if you have not already done so. If you signed up in 2011, please indicate your reunion plans in the Reunion Update area under Classmate List. Also under the Reunion Update area, please update what you've been up to over the last five years.

June 11, 2016: If you would like to help with the reunion, please plan to attend a meeting at the Rusty Keg on Thursday, June 16 at 6:15.

This web site is now operational. This site, along with the Facebook group, should help keep everyone informed. Please sign-up if you have not already done so. If you have forgotten your password, click on "Forget Password?" in the right-side navigational bar.

May 16, 2016: Please place October 29 on your calendar for the Miami Trace Class of 1976 - 40th Reunion. Plans will begin to take shape at the beginning of June. In the meantime, this web site has some problems that need to be resolved after almost five years of neglect. Those issues will be addressed in the coming days.

July 15, 2012: Everyone should have their reunion pictures in hand. They were sent out over several days last week.

If you have any news that you would like to share, please update your Reunion Update which is located on the Classmate List.

Please send me an email or call if you have any questions.

Hope everyone has a great summer!

September, 20, 2011: As we positioned everyone for the reunion picture, I knew I was going to have a problem since I could not list the names in Row 1, Row 2, etc. Well, it was a problem. If I have made any errors with the names, please let me know. The reunion picture is here.

September, 11, 2011: That was fun. It was great seeing everyone, and hopefully we can stretch out the fun a bit more by sharing pictures.

BloomingburgThanks again to Debbie Cremeans Schlichter (for help with the menu, site selection, and for the raffle tickets), Dorothy Sizemore Johnson (for the prizes, name-tags, manning the reception desk, Classmates.com efforts, and donation of the lottery tickets), Elaine Puckett (for the prizes, decorations help, and donation of Don Kincaid for setting up the rotating pictures), Phil Swigert (for Facebook.com site setup and help with Steve's digital pictures), Pam Holbert Kingery (for prizes and manning the reception desk), Mina Knisley Jones (for the MT tour), Tammy Johnson Dick (for the memorabilia), Carmen White (for the memorabilia), Steve Paisley (for providing the rotating pictures), Don Davis (for the music), Gus Clouse (for grace), and my wife, Kathy, for letting me spend days in the basement working on the web site. Now that I think about it, Kathy actually seems to like it when I'm in the basement.

It is easier to see everyone in the smaller, elementary/middle school group pictures so please forward your pictures to me and I will post them. The picture above is of the Bloomingburg bunch.

If you have not added your own Reunion Update, please feel free to do so. They are accessible from the Classmate List menu.

Please sign up to the right if you have not done so. After signing up, I will provide you with access so that you can view a list of our other classmates who are interested in attending. (Please give me a few hours to authorize you -- I am not always by the computer.)

I need the money and information in advance to obtain an accurate head count so please let me know as soon as you can. I can accept PayPal, a tank of gas, or an old fashioned check. Just send the money to my address listed on the Classmate List page.

Please note that there are three new menu choices on the navigation bar above. There is a memorial page for our classmates who have passed away. In the second new choice, Bing.com provides a great satellite view of the school. (I am going to see if we can get a tour of the high school prior to our reunion.) The third new item is a link to the Ohio Graduation Test (OGT) results for Miami Trace and for the other schools in the SCOL. (I analyze school academic performance as a rather intense hobby.)

For those of you in the WCH area, you may have heard that there were management changes at the Washington Court House Country Club. I have spoken with the Country Club and they have hired employees to prepare the meals.

Note that I have also added a feature to help you if you forgot your password.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Scott Gerber
