Frequently Asked Questions:

Why are the players in this order? Reasonable minds will vary. By providing the Major Wins and All Losses for each player, we will all be looking at the same information. As the season progresses, there will be situations where Player A beats Player B who beats Player C who beats Player A and that will make the situation more confusing. Hopefully each player on my list will be within three or four spots of yours. Generally, once a player is on my main list, I really don't like to remove him unless he becomes a doubles specialist.

What constitutes a Major Win? It's a win over a player who is on the Top Singles List, Watch List, or my watch list for the Watch List. There are also occasions where I will include matches against out-of-town players.

In what order are the wins / losses? I add to the end of the list as matches are played, so they go from oldest to most recent.

What are TennisRecruiting.Net and USTA? One of my goals for this project is to provide information to college coaches who might want to recruit our central Ohio players. These are two valuable information sources for them. However, all tennis fans would find this to be informative because it helps them understand just how talented some of our central Ohio players are. Both are national in scope. Note how some of these athletes are playing 70-90 matches against competition from all over the Midwest and nation during the summer, fall, and winter.

What are double specialists? The majority of these players are very good singles players. Some would even be on the Top Singles Players list. However, their skill sets make them excellent doubles players.

Why are the pictures blank or old? These are pictures that either I took or were provided to me. If needed, please provide a picture to your coach to send to me.

When will you have the records for the doubles players? I probably won't. Obtaining the doubles data is a magnitude greater than dealing with the singles players. I'll keep it in mind for next year.

Why are the indoor clubs shown for some players and not others? These are paid advertising spots to help promote the clubs. Hopefully these ad spots will also be helpful to college coaches as they seek additional input on recruits.
